I have been so busy of late that it may seem like I haven't done anything at all for weeks. Its really quite the opposite, but, amid the madness of the Clark house there are often highlights that are worth mentioning. So today we'll start with.......Rocci's birthday.
Birthdays at our house usually begin just when you roll over ignoring the alarm clock. Before you want it to be morning, someone will jump in and remind you to start being a perfect parent. So with that in mind I didn't even bother to get up to give out the morning gifts. Lego for my boys is like cake to a fatty. I also found him a beautiful new fluffy dog, seeing as though this could very well be the last time he will actually enjoy a soft toy.

A new tennis racket after breakfast and we left for the tennis courts to learn how to hit. He was a natural...whacking the ball right out of the nets. We think baseball might be a better sport for our strong little man.

Rocci's favourite place to eat is Sizzler so we took a few friends and Nanni and Pa for a big feed. This is the first time he hasn't vomitted while dining there, but he did spend about half the time in the toilet. Big boys need lots of food......just not thaaaat much.

After school on his actual birthdate we had all the kids in the street come over for ice cream cake and lemonade. This was lovely and they all played dress ups and totem tennis.

At school Rocci had to run his first cross country. Not one to ever be beaten he raced like a true champ and came in 4th out of the 4 prep classes. He was sick in the morning with worry about the race because some boys had been bragging about how fast they are, so he thought he was going to be last. Little did he realise that they were all talk. He raced well had even showed team spirit by picking up the fallers and trippers. It was such joy to see him racing with a big smile on his face.....and in the front of the pack.

Happy birthday Rocci!
